Eugene A. Bielecki - Smithfield

Eugene A. Bielecki 87 of Myers Street died on Sunday, February 8, 2015.

He was the beloved husband of Phyllis (Pianka) Bielecki for 63 years. He was the son of the late Jan and Honorata (Wrona) Bielecki.

He had a distinguished career in aviation for more than 60 years as a flight instructor, FAA examiner and part owner of North Central Airways.

Eugene contributed his time and talents to several organizations including the RI Pilot and QB associations and the Smithfield Lions Club. He was a World War II Army Air Force veteran.

Besides his wife Eugene is survived by his daughter, Cynthia Bielecki and husband John Godyn of Smithfield; son, Brian Bielecki and his wife Andrea of Phoenixville, Pa.; five grandchildren, Jessica, Brian and Matthew Bielecki and Tyler and Dylan Godyn; one brother, Joseph Bielecki of Central Falls; several nieces and nephews; and many close friends. He was predeceased by sisters, Mary Appleton and Harriet Dzicek, and brothers, Edwin and Frank.

A private Funeral for Mr. Bielecki was held Saturday, February 14, 2015, from the Karol A. Romenski & Sons Funeral Home, 342 High Street Central Falls, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph’s Church, High Street, Central Falls. Burial with Military Honors was in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2015, at 10 A.M. in St Michaels Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield, R.I. Relatives and Friends are welcome to attend.
