Scott E. Gabrielson - Woonsocket

Scott E. Gabrielson, 59, a lifelong resident of Woonsocket, passed away Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015.

He was the husband of Kerri A. Boyle. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of Shirley A. (Whittaker) Gabrielson of Surry, Maine, and the late Neil C. Gabrielson.

Besides his wife and mother he leaves his brother, Jeffrey A. Gabrielson and his wife Linda of Cabot, Vt.; his sister, Dawne C. Gabrielson and her husband Bruce Sanderson of Vail, Ariz.; his aunt and uncle, Robert and Brenda Gabrielson of North Smithfield, R.I.; his nephews, Jeremy, Gregg, Matt, Andrew, Zack and McKenzie; and his nieces, Erin, Chelsea, Abby and Marley. He also leaves behind many other loving relatives and friends. His four-legged children, Maya, Sunny and Boingo will miss his whimsical songs about their travels and adventures.

Scott was a kind, generous man and a wickedly talented artist. He was executive producer of “My Old School,” a documentary about The Woonsocket High School on Harris Avenue. It was aired on Rhode Island PBS in 2013.

He also enjoyed cooking, music, graphic arts, and flying his Parrot helicopter. His family and friends will miss his Christmas cards starring his beloved dachshunds. Scott cherished the community in which he lived, The Italian Workingman’s Club, and the students he mentored through the ELO program at The Woonsocket High School.
