Rhode Island Brew Fest returns in January

PAWTUCKET – Rhode Island’s beer mug runneth over, say the organizers of the fourth annual Rhode Island Brew Fest, as new microbreweries continue to pop up all over the Ocean State. They say there has never been a better time to enjoy craft beer in Rhode Island and New England.

On Jan. 30 of next year, Gray Matter Marketing and the Rhode Island Brewers’ Guild invite beer lovers to come celebrate and enjoy the growing local industry, which got its latest boost with the announcement that the Isle Brewers Guild is coming to Pawtucket.

The fourth beer festival will once again feature more than 55 breweries - 14 from Rhode Island alone - offering samples of more than 175 beers from across the region and beyond. The day will be highlighted by featured guest breweries from neighboring areas, such Beer’d Brewing Co. of Connecticut, and other surprise guests to be announced. There will also be local vendors, a food court, and live music throughout.

There are two sessions for the festival, 1 to 4 p.m. and 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

“The craft beer industry in Rhode Island continues to grow, both in stature and reputation,” said Matt Gray, president of Gray Matter Marketing. “The quantity and quality of brewers is impressive and we’re fortunate to have such talented and creative businesses here in Rhode Island. It’s great to be able to showcase these brewers and their great beer at this event."

Tickets are available for $55 in advance, or $65 at the door if available. Designated driver tickets are available for $15 in advance. All event attendees will receive a souvenir glass with a Rhode Island ‘brewscape’ design.

To help ensure an enjoyable festival atmosphere, there is a limit on the number of tickets sold. The past three events have sold out.

Proceeds from every ticket sold benefit the Rhode Island Brewers Guild. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit www.ribrewfest.com.
