R.I. kicks off new tourism campaign

PROVIDENCE – “Rhode Island: Cooler and Warmer” is the tag line the state of Rhode Island hopes you’ll spread around to far-flung friends and relatives as it launches its new tourism and business attraction campaign today.

With the renewal of the web site www.visitrhodeisland.com, the campaign officially kicked off at 5 p.m. Monday, March 28.

While most of the campaign will be digital, video spots will play on American Airlines flights and on the CNN Air network on TV monitors in airports throughout the country, according to Betsy Wall, Chief Marketing Officer of the R.I. Commerce Corporation.

“Rhode Islanders know our state is a great place to live, work and visit, and now we are moving forward with an exciting plan to make sure everyone else knows that, too,” said Gov. Gina Raimondo in a press release.

Can you image the pot holes that could of been repaired and the roads paved for 5 million . Then the logo could of been Smooth & SAFE. A young lady FROM RI came up with a great logo RHODE ISLAND SEA to BELIEVE . I think she is in high school.

The sea to believe logo was designed by a RI graphic artist named Missy Hardesty. By far a better choice than the governor's pick. A much better way to spend OUR money too.
