Ninja stories, puppet-making at Cumberland library

CUMBERLAND – “Puppet Pros,” a new program for youngsters in grades K-2 at the Cumberland Public Library, combines reading and art, inviting kids to come and listen to themed stories, read aloud, and then make a puppet that goes along with the theme.

The program will be offered on Wednesday, Jan. 11, from 6-7 p.m. in the Children’s Room and be hosted monthly on the second Wednesday of the month. The January event features books about ninjas and creating an old classic with a new twist: a ninja paper bag puppet.

Registration for each month is separate and can be done online at www.cumberlandlibrary.org . Space is limited to 15 children. Call 401-333-2552, ext. 3 for more.
