Cumberland native appointed state’s new director of human resources

PROVIDENCE – Kyle Adamonis, a Cumberland native who now lives in North Attleboro, Mass., was named last week as the state’s executive director of human resources/personnel administrator.

“I am thrilled to begin working with the State of Rhode Island to enhance its ongoing efforts to provide crucial employee services and opportunities for professional development,” Adamonis said.

Adamonis most recently served as vice president of people and culture at Liberty Construction Services, a construction subcontractor. Before that, Adamonis served for 13 years as senior vice president of human resources and legal at Taco, Inc., in Cranston.

“I am pleased to announce that Kyle Adamonis will be leading our Division of Human Resources, where she will spearhead the state’s efforts to build, maintain and develop a skilled modern workforce,” said Department of Administration Director Michael DiBiase in a release. “Technology and changing demands of our citizens require a shift in the way government delivers human resource services. In her previous roles as a senior human resources professional, she was critical to building an innovative workplace culture that promotes passion, integrity, teamwork and professionalism.”

Adamonis has a bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies from Roger Williams University and holds a master’s degree in business administration from Johnson & Wales University. Additionally, she holds a certification in internal coaching from Babson College.
