Biodiversity Festival is Saturday in Lincoln

LINCOLN – The Blackstone River Valley National Historical Park is hosting its second annual Biodiversity Festival this Saturday, Sept. 16, at the Blackstone River State Park, 1075 Lower River Road.

Kicking off with yoga in the park at 8 a.m., the festivities, including free walks, games, crafts, and demonstrations, will be in full-swing between from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Explorers of all ages can go on a wild mushroom walk, take a 15-minute field trip or learn what happens to water once it goes down your drain. Interact with live animals at the Southwick Zoo’s Zoomobile, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Also, learn about the new Junior Ranger program of the Blackstone Heritage Corridor Inc. and Blackstone River Valley National Historical Park.

All activities are free and open to the public; parking is available onsite. Rain date is Sunday, Sept. 17.
