Glocester Manton Library offers back-to-school programs

GLOCESTER – Glocester Manton Library, 1137 Putnam Pike, will offer these back-to-school programs:

• After-School Wild Adventures: This series of after-school classes will be presented by Mary Grande, DEM wildlife outreach coordinator, and Ms. Nancy, youth services assistant. The group will tour the area around the library looking for birds, animal tracks, and other wildlife as well as play wildlife games, view show and tell nature items, and do a nature craft. This program is offered on Mondays, starting Sept. 25, at 4:30 p.m., for grades 1-5. Register at .

• Creative Dance Community Series: This class will include the basics of ballet with a mix of creative dance done through popular children’s songs and freestyle dancing. There is no charge for this class, offered by the Heritage Ballet of Lincoln. The class is offered on Wednesdays, starting Oct. 11, at 4:30 p.m., for ages 4 and 5.

• Celebrate National Play-Doh Day: Join the library for fun with none of the clean-up on Saturday, Sept. 16, at 10:30 a.m., for ages 2-6.
