Lillian R. Tardie – Woonsocket

Lillian R. Tardie, 90, of Clinton St., died October, 27, 2017, at the Friendly Home. She was the wife of the late Albert J. Tardie. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Jules and Therese (Tuncq) Vandemoortele.

Lillian was an assembler for Texas Instruments for 25 years before retiring 20 years ago. Lillian was a member of the Kennedy Manor Club, the Golden Hearts, and St. Joseph Sr. Citizens. She served on the advisory board at Kennedy Manor. She was a member of the Royal Travelers and loved to travel and enjoyed cruising. Lillian loved to dance and was an avid bingo player. Lillian loved her monthly jaunts to Foxwoods. Lillian and her husband, Albert, had a summer home in Narragansett that they enjoyed for over 40 years. She recently enjoyed spending the winters in Florida with her children.

She is survived by her loving children, Raymond A. Tardie and his wife, Christine, and Christine A. Heroux and her husband, Gerard, all of Punta Gorda, Fla., four grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Jacqueline S. Tardie, and a brother Roger Vandemoortele.

Her funeral with visitation will be held Wednesday, November 1, beginning at 9 a.m., from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., in All Saints Church, Rathbun St., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in Precious Blood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908.
