PROVIDENCE – The Galleries of the Providence Art Club have announced a new solo show – Linnea Toney Leeming: Fearless Days and Restless Nights – in the club’s Dodge House Gallery, 11 Thomas St., May 12 through June 1.

This show will be free and open to the public. A reception will be held on Saturday, May 12, from 5 to 7 p.m.

Smithfield-based abstract artist Leeming will be showcasing her new “vibrant and energetic” paintings.

Leeming received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Rhode Island and also studied at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. She went on to become a photographer and prop stylist, allowing her to travel and meet other creative people around the world. Leeming is now a full-time artist, attending residencies and teaching other adults her process and skills.

Her work has been exhibited throughout New England and is in collections throughout the U.S., as well as in Moscow and Shanghai.
