Florence A. Franklin – Cumberland

Florence A. (Hogan) Franklin, 86, of Cumberland passed away Monday, May 7, 2018, at the Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. She was the wife of the late Arnold T. Franklin.

Born in Hope Valley, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Florence (Hartley) Hogan. She was a life-long resident of Cumberland.

She was a life-long communicant of the Historic St. Joseph Church, Cumberland. She was an outgoing and loving person who was affectionately known by many in the community for sharing her homemade fudge treats.

She leaves her two children, Avis Aubin of Woonsocket, and William Franklin of Pawtucket; her sister, Helen Slater of Pawtucket; her seven grandchildren, one great-granddaughter; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Ann Manley.

Florence's Life Celebration was held Friday, May 11, 2018, with visiting hours from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Route 122, Cumberland. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m., in the Historic St. Joseph Church, Mendon Road, Cumberland. Burial followed in the St. Joseph Cemetery.
