Edward “Eddie” Heath – Cumberland

Edward “Eddie” Heath, age 78, passed away peacefully May 28, 2018, at home surrounded by his family in Cumberland, R.I., where he lived for 29 years.  

Eddie was born in Woonsocket, R.I., to the late Roland and Grace (Longton) Heath. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Natalie (Houseman) Heath, of Cumberland. Eddie was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force from 1958-1964.

He worked at Almacs Supermarkets as a meat cutter for 39 years. He then worked at Shaw’s Supermarkets until his retirement.

Besides his wife, Natalie, Eddie leaves behind his two daughters, Charlene Heath Johnson and her husband, Robert, of Ashland, Mass., and Charlotte Flanagan of West Hartford, Conn.; four grandchildren, Erin, Sarah, Andrew, and Matthew and his brother, Douglas, who recently passed away. He was predeceased by his son-in-law, Jay Flanagan. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Dr. Glenn Cochran, Dr. Haley Manella, Hanna Manella, and Michael Heath; six great-nephews and one niece. He was predeceased by his niece Gail Colace. He also leaves behind his cherished cat, Sir Maxx.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St. Woonsocket, beginning with visitation at 10 a.m., with a service to follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be private.
