Frank A. DePalma – Smithfield

Frank A. DePalma, 86, of Circle Road, Smithfield, died Friday, June 1, 2018, at Cortland Place in Greenville. He was the husband of the late Eleanor (Charbonneau) DePalma.

Born in Walpole, Mass., a son of the late Peter and Antima (Melone) DePalma. He had lived in Smithfield for over 50 years previously living in North Providence. He had been a printer with Hasbro Manufacturing in Pawtucket and later with Franklin Graphics in Providence before retiring. He later returned to work with the town of Smithfield as a Jack-of-all-trades in the Smithfield Town Hall.

He had been a volunteer firefighter with the Geneva Fire Company in North Providence. He was a member of the Smithfield Elks Club, BPOE Number 2359. He was an avid New York Yankee Baseball Fan.

He is survived by his daughters: Elaine M. Richards and her husband, Joseph, of Smithfield, Linda L. Cieciorka and her husband, Jay, of Coventry; his grandchildren, Justine and Alyssa Richards, Timothy Cieciorka and his wife, Samantha, Bryon Cieciorka and his wife, Amanda, and Matt Richards and his wife, Christine; and his four great-grandchildren, Jaxton, Aubree, Joseph and Hannah. He leaves his brother Domenic DePalma and a sister Rose Marie Gianardi, both of North Providence. He also leaves his faithful friend, Stan Davies.

His funeral will be held Wednesday, June 6, at 9 a.m., from the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., in St. Michael’s Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield. Burial will follow in Highland Park in Johnston. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m.
