Edward F. Ranslow – Millville

Edward F. “Pye” Ranslow, 82, of Millville, Mass., passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2018, in Lydia Taft House, Uxbridge, Mass. He was the husband of Betty M. (Sadowski) Ranslow.

He was born in Woonsocket, R.I., in 1936, the son of the late Herbert and Leah (Hammann) Ranslow and was a longtime resident of Millville.

Mr. Ranslow had been employed at the former Draper Corp. / Rockwell Intl. in Hopedale for many years. He had also served as a volunteer fireman for the town of Millville for many years.

Ed served in the U.S. Army with the 11th Airborne Division in Germany. He was proud to serve in the Army and was honorably discharged.

He loved food, especially sweets, taking pictures on his old Polaroid camera and being with family and friends. The family will miss him dearly.

In addition to his wife Betty for 59 years, he is survived by his three daughters, June M. and her husband James Smith of Millville, Mass., Deborah M. Ranslow, and Linda E. and her husband Albert Desrosiers of Warwick, R.I.; a sister, Barbara Griffiths of Uxbridge, Mass.; his mother-in-law, Dorothy Sadowski of Uxbridge, Mass.; a brother-in-law, David Sadowski of Uxbridge, Mass.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Raymond Ranslow, and sister, Bette A. Langlois.

Many heartwarming thanks to the relatives, friends, and all who supported Ed at this time and through the years.

Funeral services will be private. There are no public visiting hours.
