Roger “Kay” Caron – Woonsocket

Roger “Kay” Caron 96, of Annette Ave., Woonsocket, died July 13, 2018, at Landmark Medical Center. Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Philias and Fabiola (Drapeau) Caron.

Kay was the founder and former owner of Kay’s Restaurant which he opened in March 1968 and ran for 33 years. Kay enjoyed life and loved to entertain, whether in Woonsocket at his “castle” or at his home in Florida. He hosted many political events at Kay’s Castle. Kay was also a huge Montreal Canadian fan.

He is survived by his sister, Pauline Vermette, of Woonsocket, and several nieces and nephews. Kay was predeceased by his siblings Robert and Normand and Mariette Caron, Violette Boucher, Estelle Lucchesi, Rita Polek, and Georgette Vermette.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at 10:30 a.m., in St. Joseph’s Church, Mendon Road, Woonsocket. Burial is private.
