Writer backs Theroux for Pawtucket City Council

I am writing to recommend Mark Theroux for an at-large City Council seat in Pawtucket. As a former civil servant in the city, current adjunct faculty member at a nearby institute of higher learning, current member of the police/fire pension board, and past youth coach in many of the neighborhoods he would like to represent, Mark has been devoted to and involved in Pawtucket since his childhood days at Tolman High School, where he graduated and met his wife and started a family. While I have known Mark to exemplify honesty, fairness, thoughtfulness, and a caring nature toward people, it is his passion and commitment to all things Pawtucket that has led him to being the ideal at-large City Council person to lead and design innovative resolutions during this critical period in Pawtucket’s history.

Mark will use those qualities to create an inclusive environment, where ideas and suggestions from all residents and stakeholders will be heard, considered, and synthesized toward the goal of creating a high quality of living for all Pawtucket residents.

The City of Pawtucket needs inspired thinking that Mark will provide as the future for many cities and towns throughout Rhode Island and the United States compete in an ever-changing economic and governmental climate. Mark Theroux is highly qualified, motivated, and should be strongly considered by all voters of Pawtucket to receive your vote to become an at-large city councilor.

Please vote on Wednesday, Sept. 12.
