Seven Dems running as school board team win in Pawtucket

PAWTUCKET – The seven Democrats running as a team for Pawtucket School Committee won the primary on Wednesday, with former Sick of Scandals mayoral candidate John Arcaro coming in eighth place and out of the race.

Former school board member Kimberly Grant made quite a return in the primary, earning the spot as top vote-getter with 3,743 votes, or 14.5 percent of the overall count.

Following Grant were Joanne Bonollo, with 3,577 votes (13.8 percent), Erin Dube, with 3,522 votes (13.6), Gerard Charbonneau, with 3,268 votes (12.6), Roberto Moreno, with 3,180 votes (12.3), Joseph Knight, with 3,137 votes (12.1), and Stephen Larbi, with 3,004 votes, or 11.6 percent.

Arcaro had 2,433 votes, or 9.4 percent of the total cast.

The winners now go on to do it all over again against independent Jorge Gil in the general election.
