Clyde E. Haworth Sr. – Cumberland

Clyde E. Haworth Sr., 87, of Old Willis Road, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 26, at Miriam Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Therese (Kissik) Haworth for 65 years.

A lifelong Cumberland resident he was the son of the late Albert V. and Marion (Booth) Haworth. He was employed over the years by Dean Warehouse, the former E. Rosen Candy Company, Hindley Manufacturing Co., and McKee Brothers Oil Company. Clyde was a proud Navy veteran during the Korean Conflict. He was an avid sports enthusiast and loved his New York Yankees and New England Patriots.

Besides his beloved wife, he leaves his children Marilyn Bonner and her husband, Peter, of Cumberland, and Clyde E. Haworth Jr. OD and his wife, Julie, of Barrington as well as his four treasured grandchildren Melissa (Bonner) Smith, Jonathan Bonner, Jacob, and Kate Haworth, and two great-grandchildren, Brady and Kayla Smith. He is also survived by his sister Muriel (Haworth) Biron and brother George Haworth Sr. Clyde is predeceased by his brothers Albert Haworth Sr., James Haworth Sr., Stanley Haworth Sr. and his sister Dorothy (Haworth) Dufala.

Family and friends are kindly invited to visiting hours on Sunday, Sept. 30, from 4 to 7 p.m., at J.J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. Clyde's Life Celebration (also at J.J. Duffy Funeral Home ) will be held on Monday, Oct. 1 at 10 a.m. Funeral service and burial will be private.
