PCFD receives grant to further affordable housing initiatives

PAWTUCKET – Pawtucket Central Falls Development has been named the 2018 Bank of America Neighborhood Builders grant recipient for Rhode Island.

PCF Development was selected for their work addressing affordable housing, an issue fundamental to economic mobility. This year is the 15th anniversary of the Neighborhood Builder program nationally, and the 12th year the award has been given out in Rhode Island.

As an awardee, PCF Development will receive a $200,000 grant, a year of leadership training for the executive director and an emerging leader at the organization, entry to a network of peer organizations across the U.S., and the opportunity to access capital to expand their impact. Since 2004, Bank of America has invested more than $220 million in 49 communities through Neighborhood Builders, partnering with more than 1,000 nonprofits and helping more than 2,000 nonprofit leaders strengthen their leadership skills.

Pawtucket Central Falls Development develops and manages affordable housing in Pawtucket and Central Falls. Since 1990, the nonprofit community development corporation has led neighborhood revitalization efforts by making strategic investments in the health and well-being of these communities.
