James H. Colinan

James H. Colinan, 83, formerly of Lincoln and Central Falls, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2018, at Hope Hospice and Palliative Care, Providence. He was the husband of Louise (Gagnon) Colinan and they had been married for the past 57 years.

Jim had many interests and those who are left behind will always remember his dedication to his family, especially his grandchildren.

Born in Lincoln, he was the son of the late Thomas and Beatrice (Fitzgerald) Colinan. He resided in Cumberland for the past 20 years, previously residing in Lincoln and Central Falls.

Mr. Colinan was a United States Army, Korean War Veteran. He was a Captain for the Central Falls Fire Department for 18 years until his retirement.

In addition to his beloved wife, he leaves his children, Lori A. Barker and her husband, Keith, of Cumberland, and Jill A. Colinan and her husband, Shawn Wallace, of Providence; three grandchildren, Colby and Meg Barker, and Louise Wallace. He was the brother of the late Thomas M. Colinan.

Relatives and friends are invited to Jim's Life Celebration to be held with Visiting Hours on Saturday, November 3, 2018, from 10 a.m. to noon, in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. Followed by a service of remembrance will be held at noon. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Hope Hospice, Philip Hulitar Inpatient Unit, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
