Maureen F. Letourneau – Cumberland

The family of Maureen F. (Doris) Letourneau announce her recent passing on Thursday, January 10, 2019, at the St. Antoine Residence in North Smithfield.

She was the wife of Thomas F. Letourneau of Cumberland, and the mother of Lisa Turco and her husband Daniel of North Smithfield; Craig Letourneau and his wife Anna of Cumberland; and Thomas E. Letourneau of Woonsocket.

Maureen was a very loving grandmother to her six grandchildren: Nicholas McSweeney, Emily, and Samuel Turco, and Cameron, Kai and Charlie Letourneau. She also leaves behind a brother, J. Robert Doris, of Hope, R.I., and a sister, Patricia Dery, of Presque Isle, Maine, and a large number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents John and Flore (Faubert) Doris, her sister Theresa Leckie, of Barrington, and her brothers John Doris and Joseph Doris, both of Cumberland.

Maureen was born in her parents’ home at 37 Eddy St., Cumberland, on Oct. 21, 1936. She attended elementary school at St. Patrick's in Valley Falls, and graduated from Cumberland High School. She was a lifelong resident of Cumberland.

Family and friends are kindly invited to Maureen's Life Celebration beginning on Friday, January 18, 2019, in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Route 122, Cumberland, with visiting hours from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held Saturday morning, January 19, 2019, at 9 a.m., in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. John Vianney Church, Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
