Edmund L. Minor – Lincoln

Edmund L. Minor, 94, of Franklin Street, Lincoln, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2019. He was the husband of the late Gladys A. (De Roy) Minor. They had been married 56 years at the times of her passing.

Born in Cumberland, a son of the late Robert P. and Mary (Dunlea) Minor, he had lived in Central Falls prior to moving to Lincoln in 2000.

He was employed by Entwistle Manufacturing Co. in Hudson, Mass., for 42 years until retiring in 1986.

He was a World War II Army veteran who served in France and Germany.

He also served two years on the Central Falls Redevelopment Agency; two years on the Central Falls Retirement and Pension Board.

He was past Grand Knight of Sullivan Council, District Deputy of State Faithful Navigator Delany Council, Woonsocket Lodge of Elks (20 year pin).

He was registered at Crestwood Country Club hole in one, member and past president of Sun Valley Country Club, and a member of Conrad’s golf league at Chemawa.

Survivors include his daughter, Patricia Martins, of North Providence; son, Alan Minor, of San Diego, Calif.; grandsons Ryan and Brett Martins and Alan Minor Jr.; his sister Alice Iacavone (Robert) of N. Kingstown, and his brother David Minor (Doris) of S. China, Maine.

He was the brother of the late Grace Pontbriand, Luella Merrifield, Ida Poulin, Dorothy Wasikowski, Evelyn Casavant, Pearl Kochanek, Ruth Wagner, Agnes Minor, Robert Minor and Raymond Minor.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 19, 2019, at 10 a.m. in St. Jude Church, 301 Front St., Lincoln, RI. The family will be greeting family and friends at the church from 9-10 a.m. Burial will be private.
