New life for Bogey’s at Fairlawn

Bogey’s at Fairlawn Golf Course, under new management, has been newly renovated ahead of the spring season and is open after 3 p.m. daily this winter.

LINCOLN – A re-opening event last Friday kicked off the next chapter for Bogey’s, the eatery at the Fairlawn Golf Course.

After closing for the season last November, the renovated restaurant reopened March 8 with a new menu under new management. General Manager and Executive Chef Michael McAteer said the remodeled clubhouse space is more welcoming to families.

“It’s the new and improved Bogey’s,” he said, “from the menu to staff to décor.”

Bogey’s offers eight flavors of wings, including blueberry barbeque, deluxe nachos, a homemade dip platter or slow-simmered meatballs. In addition to offering a variety of sandwiches, McAteer will serve up his specialty of grilled pizza made with handcrafted dough locally supplied by Borrelli’s Bakery.

Pizzas include “The Sherman Avenue” with baby spinach, roasted red peppers, onions, mushrooms, sundried tomatoes, and “The Fairlawn,” featuring pepperoni, cheese and basil, among others.

Those looking for a new watering hole are also encouraged to stop into Bogey’s, which is now serving craft beers on draft and craft local distilled spirits. McAteer said patrons will be able to enjoy the restaurant’s outdoor patio and new horseshoe pits when the weather clears.

The restaurant will be open for winter hours at 3 p.m. daily.
