Sign up for beginner ukulele classes at BRT

CUMBERLAND – As part of their Heritage Arts Studio initiative, Blackstone River Theatre, 549 Broad St., will offer a six-week session of classes in beginner ukulele with instructor Armand Aromin.

Classes will be held Thursdays, April 18, 25, and May 9, 16, 23, 30, from 7:30-8:30 p.m. This group class needs a minimum of five students, with a maximum of eight. Fee is $90 per student per six-week session.

This class is designed for the complete beginner. Students will learn about rhythm, chords, strum patterns, and how to accompany both songs and instrumental music. Students must bring a ukulele to class.

Aromin is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, dancer, and violin maker and a member of the Providence-based duo The Vox Hunters.
