Cumberland’s McComb earns GNAC Midfielder of Year honor at Lasell

NEWTON, Mass. – Cumberland’s Jordan McComb, a senior on the Lasell College women’s lacrosse team, recently wrapped up an outstanding season by winning the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Midfielder of the Year award and earning a spot among the GNAC All-Conference First-Team selections.

McComb ranked among the GNAC leaders in numerous categories. She was second in the conference with 77 goals and 67 ground balls, third with 37 caused turnovers, fourth with 96 points, and fifth with 80 draw controls.

McComb is currently in the top 10 in several categories in Lasell’s career record book. She is fifth all-time with 70 caused turnovers, sixth with 136 ground balls and 140 draw controls, seventh with 197 points, tied for seventh with 163 goals, and eighth with 34 assists.

McComb was also an All-Conference Third-Team selection in 2016 and a Second-Team pick a year ago, and she has one year of eligibility remaining and could return to the Lasers next season.

McComb, who earlier this year, became the ninth player in the Lasers’ history to score 100 career goals, graduated from Mount Saint Charles Academy in 2015. She was an All-Division girls’ hockey, volleyball, and lacrosse player for the Mounties.
