Lance D. Andrews – Lincoln

Lance D. Andrews, 92, passed away June 1, 2019, in Bonita Springs, Fla. He was formerly of Lincoln, for 70 years.

Born in Childress, Texas, he was a son of the late Lance and Jewel Andrews. Although he was born in Texas, he was raised and educated in Los Angeles, Calif. Lance proudly served with U.S. Navy during World War II, and was stationed in the South Pacific and Panama.

Lance enjoyed a long career with Verizon as a Central Office technician. He was an avid gardener who also enjoyed fishing and traveling.

He was the beloved husband of late Alice (Izzi) Andrews. He is survived by his daughters, Patricia Lennon (John) of Bonita Springs, Fla., and Lori Neagle (John) of Lexington, Ky.; sister Patricia Pope of Lake Havasu, Ariz., and his beloved dog Bailey. He was the father of late Kathleen Andrews, grandfather of late Christopher Neagle, and brother of late Bill Andrews. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A private military funeral was held at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter, R.I.
