WOONSOCKET – A city man has been indicted in the murder of another man stemming from a shooting that occurred in January.

Claude Holland, 26, was indicted by a grand jury on Monday in the shooting death of Christopher Archambault, 40. Archambault died in May as a result of injuries sustained during an alleged shooting on Jan. 13. Police say Archambault was initially paralyzed from the waist down but later died of his injuries, leading to Holland's arrest.

The jury indicted Holland on one count of murder, one count of discharging a firearm while committing a crime of violence resulting in death, one count of carrying a pistol without a license and one count of possession of a firearm after a conviction of a crime of violence. He is due back in court for arraignment on Aug. 2.
