Annual Dragon Boat Races set for Sept. 7

PAWTUCKET – The 20th annual Rhode Island Chinese Dragon Boat Races will be held on Saturday, Sept. 7, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. All teams must complete the 2019 team roster form online at www.dragonboatri.com/site/team-registration before registering.

Each year, the event runs Breast Cancer Charity Supporters races where the winning team gets $1,000 and the pool of $100 entries to donate to the breast cancer charity of their choice. Entries are available online at registration.

The R.I. Chinese Dragon Boat Races uses fiberglass Taiwanese-style dragon boats gifted from Taiwan, the Republic of China. Flag-catching and various competitions are in store.
