Watershed Council offering guided canoe trip Saturday

LINCOLN – The Blackstone River Watershed Council is offering a two-hour guided canoe rental trip this Saturday, Aug. 10, and Saturday, Sept. 14, from 10 a.m. to noon.

Arrive by 9:30 a.m. for sign-in. Cost is $25 per person, or $20 per person for BRWC members. Instruction, life jackets, paddles and canoes included. Open to adults and children ages 5 and up. A parent or guardian must accompany children.

The location is 100 New River Road in Lincoln. A minimum of two people are required per canoe. The area to be paddled will be a scenic, flat-water section from Manville to Albion and back. A member of the group will be the guide.

The tour will be held as long as weather and river conditions are acceptable. Participants should wear sturdy water shoes or sneakers.
