Handful of spots remain on local Autumn Baseball League high school team

WOONSOCKET – A handful of spots remain on a Woonsocket-based high school baseball team that will make its debut in the popular Autumn Baseball League this fall.

The league, which will celebrate its 20th anniversary, is made up mostly of ballclubs from southeastern New England that play games on Saturdays. Opening day is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 14.

Players who are entering grades 9-12 this fall and live in the city and its surrounding towns are welcome to join the team. The fee to sign up is $100 per player, and anyone interesting in playing should contact Tommy Brien at 401-636-7826.
