Local volunteers needed for RiMaConn relay race on August 24 in Lincoln

LINCOLN – The non-profit Hartford Marathon Foundation, which annually produces over 30 race events throughout southern New England, is seeking local volunteers to serve as cyclists, course monitors, and exchange zone members for its three-state RiMaConn Relay event that will begin in Lincoln on Saturday, Aug. 24.

The team relay race will span 95 miles and three states and host three-member and six-member teams. The scenic course travels through 20 towns and begins at Blackstone Valley State Park’s Pratt Dam on Front Street. The course continues through Cumberland, Woonsocket, and Blackstone, and after touring several more towns in Massachusetts and Connecticut, the race ends in Hartford.

Every volunteer will receive a custom RiMaConn shirt, food and beverage, and a $5 credit to participate in any future HMF races. Email Nancy@hartfordmarathon.com to volunteer or for more information, or visit runthegreenway.com for more details on the race.
