Pawtucket Credit Union announces 3rd annual Community Investment Fund Allocations

PAWTUCKET – George J. Charette, president and chief executive officer of Pawtucket Credit Union, announces the 2019 recipients of PCU’s Community Investment Fund.

Through Pawtucket Credit Union’s Community Investment Fund, PCU has awarded $104,500 in grants to local organizations focused on providing low income children and youth, in underserved communities, academic support in addition to developing and improving their overall well-being.

“Improving the lives of families and individuals in the communities we serve is a key component of the Credit Union’s mission.

We believe funding programs that provide academic support and enrichment to children and youth in some of our most vulnerable communities will help these children achieve a brighter tomorrow,” said Charette.

Awardees for 2019 are: The Learning Community, Comprehensive Community Action Program, Kennedy-Donovan Center, Books Are Wings, YMCA of Pawtucket, Friends of Pawtucket Public Library, Back To School Celebration, Children’s Friend, Boys & Girls Club of Pawtucket, RI Philharmonic Orchestra & Music School and The Empowerment Factory.
