Cumberland’s Henson cops Third-Team NE-10 cross country honors at SNHU

MANCHESTER, N.H. – Former Cumberland High runner Grace Henson, who is a sophomore on the Southern New Hampshire University women’s cross country team, earned Third-Team All-Conference honors on Oct. 27 in helping the Penmen place second at the Northeast-10 Conference Championships that were held at Jamesville Beach State Park in Jamesville, N.Y.

Henson took 16th place in the 3.73-mile race in a time of 25:12.2. She was one of four Southern New Hampshire runners to place in the top 24.

Earlier last month, at the New England Championships at Franklin Park in Boston, Henson covered the 3.1-mile course in a time of 19:10 that was nearly a PR.

Southern New Hampshire will be back in action on Saturday in Philadelphia for the NCAA Division II East Regional Championships.
