Film on 'ethical eating' offered at Agudas Achim
ATTLEBORO, Mass. - "Eating Alaska," the Green Reel's Harvest Film offering, will be presented on Sunday, Nov. 8 at 7 p.m. at Congregation Agudas Achim, 901 North Main St.
The film is about the quest of an ex-urban vegetarian who moves to Alaska, marries a fisherman and hunter, and begins to wonder what the "right" thing to eat is.
Following the film, there will be a discussion with Jenn Blaumstein about eating locally in northern climates during the winter months.
A potluck meal will be served at 5:30 p.m.
All are welcome to bring a vegetarian-dairy dish to share.
No meat, no meat products or nuts, please.
The event is free and open to the public. For more information, call 508-695-2389.
