River Duck Race raises $20,230 for organizations
CUMBERLAND - The Boys & Girls Club of Cumberland-Lincoln has announced that the Blackstone River Duck Race raised $20,230 for local organizations.
Craig W. Bloomer, executive director of the Boys & Girls Club, announced that 37 organizations raised that combined total through ticket sales. Leading the way was North Smithfield Animal Shelter, which raised $1,500, followed by North Cumberland Middle School Cross Country, $1,102. Also raising at least $1,000 for their organizations were Ashton School PTO, $1,035, Community School PTO, $1,025 and Fairlawn Early Learning Center PTO, $1,000.
All others raising funds were: Friends of the Blackstone/Heritage Corridor, $920; Joseph L. McCourt Middle School, $900; Cumberland Rescue Local 2725, $825; Garvin PTO, $802; Marissa's Magic Foundation, $800; Franklin Farm, $782; Cumberland Hill Fire, $742; Agnes E. Little Elementary PTO, $715; Penguins Swim Team, $650; Amvets Post 7, $627; Troop 64 Saylesville, $570; North Cumberland Middle School, $565; Cumberland Democratic Town Committee, $505; Lincoln Robotics, $500; Cumberland ADK-ETA Chapter, $450; Gateway Healthcare/Rehab, $445; and Saylesville Elementary PTO, $410.
Also, Veterans Elementary, $370; RI Young Life, $355; Lincoln ADK, $350; MacColl Field Y, $325; Arnold Mills Parade Association, $312; Parrot Heads OSPHC, $267; CHS Grad Night, Cumberland Public Library and Leukemia/Lymphoma, $250 each; Troop 1 Pack 1 Manville, $225; Pack 12 Berkeley-Ashton Cub Scouts, $140; Hope High School, $100; Friend of Lincoln Library, $62; S.E Region Interact, $60; and Friends of Shea High, $40.
