Cumberland mayor is collecting resumes
CUMBERLAND - If you're one of the estimated 2,000 to 3,000 Cumberland residents who is out of work, Mayor Daniel McKee says he'd like to hear from you.
He's collecting resumes of the unemployed and underemployed of the town, he said, in hopes of linking them with would-be employers.
"A cross-sharing of information could develop into something pretty good; we could create some positive energy out of this," he suggested.
He noted, for example, that CVS is expanding its corporate headquarters in Cumberland and would like to ask the company to consider filling new jobs with Cumberland residents.
Send resumes to the mayor's administrative assistant, bgoodrich@cumberlandri.org .
