Vampire musical premiers at St. Ann Arts and Cultural Center
WOONSOCKET - The St. Ann Arts and Cultural Center presents the East Providence Community Theatre's world premier production of "Nightsong: A New Vampire Musical" at St. Ann Arts and Cultural Center, 84 Cumberland St. on November 5-7 at 8 p.m. and Nov. 8 at 2 p.m.
The production tells the story of Robert, a 300-year old vampire, who's been feeling off lately. It doesn't help that Vivienne, his eternal lover, has grown increasingly cold over the years; she views humans as little more than a source of sustenance, while Robert still finds them fascinating. However, a new conquest soon catches Robert's eye: Andrea, a naive human who's been widowed for nearly two years. Desperate to be closer to her, but not wanting to pursue her physically, Robert calls upon an ancient, forbidden power known as the Nightsong. Using this power, Robert enters Andrea's dreams while she sleeps, drawing her fragile mind ever closer to him.
Tickets are $8 in advance and $12 at the door. To order, call Brown Paper Tickets at 800-838-3006 or stop by the St. Ann Arts and Cultural Center on Sundays from 1-4 p.m.
