Free smoke detector batteries available at Lonsdale fire station
LINCOLN - The Lonsdale Fire Department, in conjunction with the Energizer Battery Company, will be giving out free 9-volt batteries to be used in smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors. The give-away goes along with the "Change Your Clock, Change Your Battery" program. This year, clocks will be changed on Nov. 1, so the fire department urges all residents to change their batteries then, too. Families can stop by the fire station, 224 Front St., to pick up the free batteries.
For more information, call 725-8125.
