NORTH SMITHFIELD - This Saturday, May 10, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. the annual charity yard sale in memory of Emily Letourneau will be held at 1853 Pound Hill Road in North Smithfield, to benefit Children's Hospital Boston.

This year marks the seventh anniversary of Letourneau's passing after a battle with Zellweger Syndrome.

Sale items at the yard sale will include baby toys, blankets, children's books, DVDs, CDs, furniture, appliances, and clothing for women, babies and children.

According to a press release from resident Laura Dube, she and others are also trying to raise funds to have Emily's name immortalized on a plaque at Children's Hospital Boston. Townspeople have participated annually in the Emily Letourneau Memorial Volleyball Tournament and this year will be participating in the NSTAR children's walk.
