Antonio Gargaro - Smithfield
Antonio Gargaro, 86, of Greenville, died Sunday, Dec. 27, 2009.He was the husband of the late Anna (Rizzo) Gargaro. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Giovanni and Ernestina (Gabriele) Gargaro. Mr. Gargaro was the owner and operator of Greenville Insulation Co. for more than 45 years. He was a World War II Army veteran, a member of the Rhode Island Home Builders Association and Renaissance Alliance Lodge #1966, OSIA.
He leaves his loving children, Anthony J. Gargaro of Lincoln, David J. (Lisa) Gargaro of Cranston, Gail A. (Gary) Lynn of Greenville, Jean A. St. Lawrence of Greenville and Carol A. Tainsh of Cumberland. He was the father-in-law of the late Sandra Gargaro and was the brother of Antonetta Calabro of Providence and the late Anna Collins, Carmino and George Gargaro. He was the grandfather of nine and the great-grandfather of four.
His funeral was held Thursday, Dec. 31 from the TUCKER-QUINN Funeral Chapel, 643 Putnam Ave. (Route 44) Greenville, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Ave., Greenville. Burial with military honors was in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Care of RI or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
