She was the loving wife of the late Leo M. Lefort. She was born March 28, 1920, in Fall River, Mass., to Henri and Marie Anne (Lemieux) Houde. She retired as the senior clerk for the Rhode Island Registry of Motor Vehicles in Providence. She was the Sunshine person for Waterview Apartments in Woonsocket and a member of the Royal Travelers and St. Theresa’s and St. Joseph’s senior citizens. She leaves her sons, Maurice and his wife Olga Lefort of Ocala, Fla., and Gilbert and his wife Deborah of Harrisville; two brothers Norman Houde of Egg Harbor, N.J., and Leonard Houde of Woonsocket; two sisters, Florence Beauregard of Woonsocket and Theresa Zitnay of Palm Coast, Fla.; and seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Gilbert Houde and Juliette Golden.
Her funeral services will be held Thursday, April 24, 2008, starting at 9 a.m. in the T. Lauzon Funeral Home, 185 Spring St Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in All Saints Church, Rathbun Street, Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean the Baptist Cemetery, Bellingham. Calling hours are Wednesday from 4-8 p.m.
