Dorothy Cooney - Cumberland

Dorothy was born Feb. 9, 1916, in West Orange, N.J., but had lived in Cumberland the majority of her life. She was the daughter of the late William E. and Bertha (Howarth) Webster, both originally from Lancaster, England. She had been residing at The Holiday Retirement Home in Lincoln for the past 10 years. She was an active member of the Wesleyan United Methodist Church in Lincoln, the Women’s VFW Auxiliary Club in Valley Falls and was employed by Gracious Living in Berkeley, R.I. She leaves her nephews, Daniel Webster of Cumberland and William Webster of Pawtucket; her niece, Gail D. Rose of Brooksville, Fla.; as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews. Her daughter, Elizabeth, her infant son, Jonathan and her brother, Victor E. Webster, preceded Mrs. Cooney in death.

Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Mendon Road, Cumberland.
