She was the wife of the late Fredrick G. Halbig. Born in Slatersville, a daughter of the late Anton and Mary (Helm) Christiansen, she had lived in Chepachet since 1926. She and her husband owned and operated a Chevrolet dealership and service station in Chepachet. She leaves a niece, Barbara J. Warrington of Slatersville, and a nephew, Donald Christiansen of Trenton, N.J. She also leaves many great nieces and great nephews. She was a sister of the late Carl and Ellery Christiansen, both of Slatersville.
Her funeral will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 54 Cedar Swamp Road, Smithfield. Visitation is Monday from 10-11 a.m in Our Redeemer Church. Burial will follow in Slatersville Cemetery.
