Julien Hebert - Burrillville

Julien Hebert, 75, of Mt. Pleasant Road, Harrisville, died Friday, Sept. 25 at The Miriam Hospital in Providence.

He was the husband of Margaret S. (Martin) Hebert to whom he was married Oct. 9, 1954. Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Theodore and Agnes (Dufresne) Hebert. He was raised in Woonsocket and resided in North Smithfield, Cumberland and Nasonville. For the past 13 years Mr. and Mrs. Hebert have been winter residents of Bradenton, Fla., and summer residents of Nasonville. Mr. Hebert worked for Forte Bros. Construction Company for more than 25 years before retiring 1996. He was also a dairy farmer prior to working for Forte Bros. Julien was a skilled woodworker and enjoyed a variety of outside activities including kayaking, bicycling and time at the beach. Most of all he was a devoted husband and loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. In addition to his wife of 54 years he leaves two sons, Denis Hebert, USAF retired, and his wife Ann of Newington, N.H., and David Hebert, GPD, and his wife Susan of Cranston; and three daughters, Jacqueline Hoyle and her husband James of Woonsocket, Karen Sweeney and her partner Jaime Cobb of Seekonk, Mass., and Diane Archambault and her husband David of Harrisville. He was the brother of Romeo Hebert of Uxbridge, Mass. He also leaves nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a niece and a nephew.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Good Help Church, 1063 Victory Highway, Mapleville. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Slatersville. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. in the Menard Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
