Lucille Louise Picard - Smithfield
Lucille Louise Picard, 87, of Church Street, Greenville, died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2009, at Fatima Hospital. She was the widow of Henry A. Picard. Born in Montreal, Canada, she was a daughter of the late Hermas and Louisa (Bellefleur) Letourneau. She had been a resident of Greenville for 60 years. She worked at the former St. Aloysius Home for 18 years before retiring. She was an active member of the Greenville Manor Tenants Association. Her enjoyment in life came from spending time with her family, playing cards with her friends and her home. She was the loving mother of Russell Picard of Peterborough, N.H., Nancy Picard of South Dartmouth, Mass., Martha Johnson of Harrisville and Norman Picard and Marie Innarelli, both of Cumberland; a loving grandmother of 11; and a loving great-grandmother of eight. Seven siblings predeceased her.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday, Oct. 13 at 9:30 a.m. in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Burial was private. Visitation respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rhode Island Food Bank, 200 Niantic Avenue, Providence, RI 02907.
