'Fashionable Fabric' exhibit coming to Slater Mill

PAWTUCKET - Slater Mill, along with sponsor Amica Insurance, will present a "Wearable Art Show and Sale" exhibit in the Slater Mill Gallery starting on Nov. 6, and running through Jan. 2.

Members of the Slater Mill Community Guild Studios invite local artisans of all mediums to submit "imaginative and thoughtful creations for the human body" for the exhibit.

The event is an opportunity for established and emerging artists to showcase their work in a setting intimately connected to textile innovation, according to a news release. Display pieces should be handcrafted, one-of-a-kind, and may be in the form of clothing, jewelry or accessories.

A panel of jurors will review submissions and select those entries that will participate in the Wearable Art Show and Sale. The submission form may be found online at www.slatermill.org, or by e-mailing wearableart@slatermill.org.

For more information about the exhibit, or to learn more about sponsorship, call Chandler at 725-8638, ext. 107 or e-mail chan-dler@slatermill.org.
