SCITUATE - The Rhode Island Department of Health will hold a workshop on protecting private drinking water wells Tuesday, Sept. 9, from 7 to 9 p.m., at the North Scituate Community House, Route 116.

The workshop will offer instruction on regular testing, well maintenance and good housekeeping practices for protecting wells.

Pre-registration is required as space is limited. Programs are free and open to the public. To register, call the University of Rhode Island Cooperative Extension at 874-4918.
