November activities at Holden Center

CENTRAL FALLS - Channel One, Ralph J. Holden Community Center, announces its senior activities for November.

Thursday, Nov. 5, 10 a.m. to noon, flu shots; Friday, Nov. 6, Vanity Fair shopping in Dartmouth, Mass., cost is $3, space is limited to the first 14 people and lunch is not included; Wednesday, Nov. 11, the center will be closed for Veterans Day; Thursday, Nov. 19, 11 a.m. blood pressure and medication monitoring; Friday, Nov. 20, 1 p.m., decoupage with Judy - bring a plain glass vase and favorite family pictures to create a beautiful vase; Wednesday, Nov. 25, 10 a.m. food doctor; Thursday, Nov. 26, Thanksgiving Dinner at the community center, call 727-7425 for reservations; Friday, Nov. 27, center is closed; Sunday, Nov. 29, Bright Night and Holyoke Mall, Mass. trip, for information, call Judy at 727-7425; and Monday, Nov. .30, 1 p.m. Happy Seniors monthly meeting with new updates from Blue Cross Blue Shield and United Health plans for 2010.

"Exercise for Life" program to encourage seniors to get up moving is planned for Thursdays, Nov. 5, 12 and 19, at 12:30 p.m.

Chair yoga with Joan will be held on Fridays, Nov. 6, 13 and 20 from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m. in the gym.

Other activities include knitting and crocheting, Tuesdays, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; yoga, every Tuesday at 10 a.m.; senior swim, Monday to Friday, 7 to 10 a.m.; senior pool aerobics, Monday to Friday, 9 a.m.; and senior aerobics, Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m.
