Glocester Senior Association will meet on Tuesday
GLOCESTER - The Glocester Senior Association met on Oct. 6. There were 29 members present.
The Christmas meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 1, will be held at Chester's Restaurant in Harmony at 12:30 p.m. Those who need a ride should be at the senior center at noon. The cost to each member will be $5, with the association paying the difference. The menu will be a complete turkey dinner with soup, salad, dessert and coffee. Reservations and payment must be received at least one week in advance by signing up at the November meeting or by calling the president at 568-2614.
October birthdays were recognized for Carolyn Cook, Ann Finn, Millie Colwell, Jiggs Chase and Helen Wilsey.
The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 3, at 1:30 p.m. Everyone was asked to bring an article for a penny social that will follow the meeting. Nonperishable food items will also be collected for the Glocester Food Pantry.
The door prize was a box of Christmas cards and was won by Phyllis Steger. Raffle winners were Ann Finn and Carolyn Cook.
After the meeting a pencil game was played. Trudy Izbicki was the winner, and Mary Barnes won second place. Refreshments were served.
