Desrosiers named Volunteer of the Year

WOONSOCKET - Senior Services Inc. held its annual volunteer recognition dinner on Oct. 28 at the Woonsocket Senior Center to honor Volunteer of the Year Pauline Desrosiers.

She has volunteered at Kennedy Manor since the lunch site opened in 1995.

A citation from the Woonsocket City Council was presented by Council President Leo Fontaine and Woonsocket housing authority staffers Mary Ann Jolicoeur and Nina Parrett were present to thank Desrosiers for her service.

One hundred and forty volunteers and their guests were in attendance from Burrillville, Cumberland, Glocester, Lincoln, Smithfield and Woonsocket.

"Our volunteers are our greatest resource. The senior service of these volunteers is much appreciated," said Senior Services Director Jill Anderson.
